Published on 6th October 2022, Blow a Kiss, Catch a Kiss is a brilliant collection of poems for little ones by the current Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho. Joe’s aim with this anthology was to create new nursery rhymes that reflected the lives of today’s babies and toddlers, and I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to illustrate them!
Here’s a selection of my favourite spreads from the book. I painted the artwork using a combination of stencils, rubber stamps and monoprint line (like my first book Not Me!) and then added the coloured backgrounds digitally.

I really enjoyed creating the typography for the front cover and section headings. I cut rubber stamps for each letter and then layered up the different prints from them in Photoshop.
