Sketchbook Pages

I use sketchbooks all the time: to draw, to write lists, to jot down ideas and as a way of relaxing. Often what I’m drawing is moving quickly (especially animals and children) but I don’t mind! If I don’t capture the whole thing I still have suggestions of poses, movements and shapes which all help in my work.

Sometimes the drawings are from my imagination – I’m yet to see a rhino standing on a Renault 4 . . .

My sketchbooks are often very messy and generally not for public viewing, but here are a few of the less scruffy pages!
